I’ve learned you don’t need all those snazzy electrical effects to put on a good show. Teacher Resource Packs are written for each production and are full of ideas for pre and post performance activities plus the full story texts. Request a free hardcopy from our office or download them here: Classic English Tales - “Jack and the Beanstalk” with “The Three Wishes” Classic Tales from the Brothers Grimm - “The Fisherman & his Wife” with “The Genie in the Bottle” Before and after show talks Older students bump back into the real world more readily and we are happy to answer questions after the show. It’s most valuable if teachers ask the children before the show to start thinking of interesting and relevant questions about the stories, drama, acting, touring and so on. When working with teenagers 12 – 18 years (both English speakers and students learning English as an additional language) we have found that a short introductory talk before a performance breaks the ice and engages them from the beginning. We talk about the stories, the Brothers Grimm, and elements of theatre and drama. |
